INTRODUCTION

Imangi Studio published and developed Temple Run on iOS on August 4, 2011, and it was influenced later to Android and Windows. The series' main theme is an explorer being pursued by a swarm of demon monkeys; however, the characters and themes differ between spin-offs. The series has five titles and has achieved commercial success, with multiple entries exceeding one million downloads.

GAMEPLAY

The player controls a player character in the Temple Run series from behind the player character's back. While the character is running, the player can move the character to either side of the screen to collect coins and avoid obstacles by swiping left or right. The player can also swipe down to slide toward the ground or up to jump. To stay on the path if the path leads to a turn, the player must swipe in the direction of the turn. Intersections on the path allow the player to take alternate routes. If the player does not avoid obstacles or turns to stay on the path, he or she will fall off and lose.

The coins can be spent on purchasing and upgrading power-ups and/or other characters. Coins can also be purchased by the player through in-app purchases using real money. When the player needs to turn left or right, he or she can swipe the touchscreen in the appropriate direction. If the player wants to jump over an object, they can swipe upwards; if they want to slide under an object, they can swipe downwards. There are many levels in the game where players can enhance to the next level if they win, but if they lose or die in the game, they must restart from the beginning level of the game

RULES OF PLAY

Most players play this game with their devices, so they only have to slide left or right, swipe down or up, whereas computer players must use their arrow buttons to slide down and up, as well as the same arrow buttons to slide up right and left. The arrows as shows:-

POWERS

Mega Coins

When a player collects a Mega Coin, a certain number of coins are automatically awarded to the player. The number of coins awarded is determined by the level of the powerup.

Coins Magnet

When a player collects Coin Magnet, all nearby coins are automatically collected. Furthermore, the Coin Magnet can double the value of a coin collected at certain levels of the powerup. The length is determined by the level of the powerup.

Invincibility

When the player obtains Invincibility, the character gains immunity to all obstacles for a limited time, and the game fills in imaginary ground with gaps and holes. The character can still be controlled by the player. When the player flashes, it means the game is about to end.

Boost

The character receives a small boost forward. During this time, the game has control over the character, and the character cannot die. Before becoming normal, the character will slow down.

Coin Values

The values of the coins in the game change as the player collects Coin Values. The coin values and where this powerup takes effect are determined by the powerup's level. This is the game's only powerup that activates automatically and cannot be collected.
